The Superintendency of the Securities Market of the Republic of Panama (hereinafter the “SMV”), in accordance with its legal duty to strengthen and promote the proper environment for the development of the securities market in the Republic of Panama, in compliance with the regulation contained in the Securities Law, makes the following public statement:

That:

Third parties are using, without consent, the name and images of Olga Cantillo, Executive President and CEO of the Latin American Stock Exchange (Latinex), to impersonate her identity through artificial intelligence, with the purpose of promoting alleged investment opportunities.

La Superintendencia del Mercado de Valores (en adelante “SMV”), en virtud de la atribución que le confiere la Ley para fortalecer y fomentar las condiciones propicias para el desarrollo del mercado de valores en la República de Panamá y con el propósito de salvaguardar la integridad y estabilidad del mismo, en cumplimiento de la normativa contenida en la Ley del Mercado de Valores, comunica al público lo siguiente:

Que:

Terceras personas están utilizando sin consentimiento el nombre e imágenes de Olga Cantillo, presidenta ejecutiva y CEO de la Bolsa Latinoamericana de Valores (Latinex), para suplantar mediante inteligencia artificial su identidad, con el objetivo de promover supuestas oportunidades de inversión.

La Superintendencia del Mercado de Valores (SMV) y la Bolsa Latinoamericana de Valores (Latinex), alertan a la comunidad sobre la circulación de contenidos falsos en entornos digitales que utilizan de manera indebida la imagen de figuras públicas y del sector financiero/bursátil para promover supuestas oportunidades de inversión.
